Terms of Service

Plain English summary: Use ANA honestly, don't misuse it, and understand it's an AI assistant — not a doctor, lawyer, or financial advisor. We'll do our best to keep it running well. If something goes wrong, our liability is limited.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using ANA at myana.ai or via WhatsApp ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use ANA.
These Terms apply to all users of ANA, including users who connect Google accounts, use WhatsApp integration, or access the dashboard.
2. Description of Service
ANA is a personal AI assistant that connects to your Google account (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Contacts, and other Google services) and WhatsApp to help you manage your daily life. ANA can:
- Read and summarise your emails, calendar events, and documents
- Create reminders, calendar events, and to-do items
- Track medicines, subscriptions, and orders
- Send morning briefings and proactive check-ins via WhatsApp
- Answer questions using information from your connected accounts
- Generate PDFs, images, and other content on request
Important: ANA is an AI assistant, not a medical professional, legal advisor, or financial advisor. Do not rely on ANA for medical decisions, legal advice, or financial guidance. Always consult qualified professionals for such matters.
3. Account Registration
To use ANA, you must sign in with a Google account. By doing so, you represent that:
- You are at least 13 years of age
- You have the authority to grant ANA access to the Google account you connect
- The information you provide during onboarding is accurate
- You will keep your account credentials secure
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
4. Google Account Access
ANA requests access to certain Google services to function. By connecting your Google account, you authorise ANA to access these services on your behalf as described in our Privacy Policy.
You may revoke this access at any time via myaccount.google.com/permissions. Revoking access will limit ANA's functionality but will not delete your ANA account or conversation history.
ANA's use of Google user data complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy.
5. WhatsApp Integration
ANA communicates with you via WhatsApp using Twilio's messaging platform. By providing your WhatsApp number and using this feature:
- You consent to receive messages from ANA on WhatsApp
- You understand that message delivery depends on WhatsApp and Twilio's availability
- Standard WhatsApp data charges from your carrier may apply
- You can opt out of WhatsApp messages by contacting us or deleting your account
6. Acceptable Use
You agree to use ANA only for lawful, personal purposes. You must not:
- Use ANA to send spam, unsolicited messages, or harass others
- Attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or disrupt ANA's systems
- Use ANA to access accounts or data you do not have permission to access
- Provide false information during registration or onboarding
- Use ANA for any illegal purpose under applicable law
- Attempt to extract, scrape, or systematically collect data from ANA's systems
- Use ANA to generate harmful, hateful, or illegal content
- Share your account credentials with others
7. AI-Generated Content
ANA's responses are generated by AI (Anthropic's Claude). While we strive for accuracy:
- ANA may make mistakes, misunderstand requests, or provide incorrect information
- ANA's responses do not constitute professional advice of any kind
- You are responsible for verifying important information before acting on it
- ANA's memory and context are limited — do not rely on ANA to remember critical information without verification
8. Medicine and Health Features
ANA can send medicine reminders and escalation calls as a convenience feature. These are reminders only:
- ANA is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice
- Medicine reminders may be delayed, missed, or fail due to technical issues
- Never rely solely on ANA for critical medication management
- Always maintain independent medication schedules for important medications
- ANA's escalation calls are a best-effort feature and may not always connect
9. Subscription and Pricing
ANA is currently available as a beta service. Pricing terms for paid plans will be communicated before any charges are applied. We will provide at least 14 days notice before transitioning from free to paid service.
Where paid plans are offered:
- Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis
- Refunds are provided at our discretion within 7 days of billing
- We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice
10. Availability and Uptime
We aim to keep ANA available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. ANA may be unavailable due to:
- Scheduled maintenance (we will attempt to notify users in advance)
- Third-party service outages (Google, Twilio, Anthropic, Vercel)
- Technical issues beyond our control
We do not provide SLA guarantees for the beta service.
11. Intellectual Property
ANA, including its name, logo, dashboard design, and underlying technology, is owned by Sandpine Technologies. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of ANA without written permission.
Content you provide to ANA (your messages, data, and information) remains yours. You grant us a limited licence to process this content solely to provide ANA's services to you.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Sandpine Technologies shall not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of ANA
- Loss of data, missed reminders, or failed notifications
- Actions taken or not taken based on ANA's responses
- Third-party service failures (Google, Twilio, WhatsApp, etc.)
- Any damages exceeding the amount you paid for ANA in the 3 months prior to the claim
Some jurisdictions do not allow limitation of liability — in such cases, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sandpine Technologies from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of ANA, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.
14. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Danger Zone. All your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in abusive behaviour, or for any other reason at our discretion with reasonable notice where possible.
15. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via WhatsApp and dashboard notice with at least 14 days notice. Continued use of ANA after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of West Bengal, India.
For users outside India, nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under local consumer protection laws.
